BALFOUR Beatty has become the latest sponsor to join the Pride in Oldham awards.
The world-renowned construction and engineering company has stepped up for one of its most important roles — supporting local people who have gone the extra mile for their community.
Dave Donaldson, Balfour Beatty Construction managing director, said: “We are delighted to support the Pride in Oldham Awards because of the important role they can play in supporting the continuing growth of civic pride in Oldham.
“The town has an exciting future ahead and pride, prosperity and sustainability are a shared vision that we have with Oldham.
“Balfour Beatty is committed to a continuing stake in your community by supporting employment, investing in skills and supporting business growth that will ensure we share a prosperous future together.”
David Whaley, Oldham Evening Chronicle editor, said: “Balfour Beatty will be playing a major role in the borough in the coming years after being chosen to carry out the Building Schools for the Future programme.
“We are delighted that they have decided to give financial support to the Pride in Oldham awards. Their support, and that of the other sponsors, enables us to keep the awards as the No1 in the borough.”
