A SECOND person has been brought in to help with the review into the disastrous Vance Miller prosecution.
Oldham Council invited Stewart Dobson to begin a review into the Trading Standards prosecution of Vance Miller, Alan Ford, Sadiya Hussein and Nicola Brodie in January, following tbne collapse of the court case.
Due to the complexity of the overall review, a second person who is qualified and experienced in Trading Standards is being brought in to help out.
He will work under the direction of former Birmingham City chief executive Mr Dobson, who remains responsible for the final recommendations to be made to Oldham Council.
The review, which will be in two parts, will comprise of an investigation under Oldham Council’s disciplinary procedure which should be completed by the end of this month
The second part, which is expected by the end of October, will be an overall review of the case.
An Oldham Council spokesman said the council continued to co-operate fully but, in order not to prejudice the potential outcome of the inquiry, neither the council nor Mr Dobson would be commenting further at this stage.
