SECONDARY school pupils got a flavour of future studies when they attended a popular event.
Oldham Sixth Form College hosted three Year 10 taster days with more than 700 pupils from 12 different schools attending.
Schools involved included Saddleworth, Radclyffe, Royton & Crompton, Counthill, South Chadderton, Kaskenmoor, Failsworth, Grange and Hathershaw.
Pupils were able to sample subjects new to them such as law, psychology, sociology and archaeology.
The youngsters also attended an introductory session on the college’s online resources, available at any time on its website www.osfc.ac.uk.
Assistant principal Richard Lee said: “These taster days have proved very popular with those attending and have become an annual event for the college.
“We have established very strong relationships with schools and work very closely with them to help prepare their pupils for the next important stage in their education.
“Events such as these are very important in strengthening our partnerships and we will continue to work together to ensure pupils are given the best chance of success.”
