INSPIRING the next generation . . . Faz Shah with pupils at Werneth Primary and a portrait of Sir William Walton in the background
TALENTED violinist Farhaan Shah is following in the footsteps of one of Britain’s greatest musicians.
The 17-year-old, better known as Faz, held a workshop at his former primary school — where composer Sir William Walton was once a pupil. He also showed off his keyboard skills and his talent for beat boxing at Werneth Primary School.
Faz is now a student at Oldham Sixth Form College and plays in a number of ensembles with Oldham Music Service.
He is a member of the Hallé Youth Orchestra, was a bronze-award winner in this year’s Future Champions final and has tuition at the Junior Royal Northern College of Music
Head teacher Sara Holroyd said: “It was marvellous to welcome Farhaan back. The children loved his wonderfully refreshing performance.
