BREAST cancer patients took the blustery conditions in their stride during a pink promenade around Hollingworth Lake.
They were among fundraisers who took part in the sponsored walk in aid of the Link4Pink appeal which supports Oldham’s Victoria Breast Care Unit.
The annual event was the idea of consultant breast surgeon Maria Bramley who wanted to hold a fundraiser that her patients could take part in.
She was joined at the start by the mayors of Oldham and Rochdale.. Sponsorship money is expected to reach at least £3,000 on top of the £250 collected on the day.
