Dance celebration
Date published: 12 July 2010
A showcase at Gallery Oldham will give young dancers the chance to shine.
The celebration takes place tomorrow (Tuesday), with 23 schools involved in performances during the day, plus another 12 community groups in the evening.
Councillor Mark Alcock, Cabinet Member for Citizens and Neighbourhoods said: “This is an excellent event which will see over 300 children from across the borough perform on stage during the day, and 150 later on.
“For a lot of children this will be the first time that they have appeared on a professional stage and the first time that many of the groups will have performed together.”
