Date published: 13 July 2010
Offices and businesses in Union Street, Oldham, were hit by a power cut yesterday which closed the Connexions youth service buildings in Medtia House and Brunswick Court.
Other offices were also affected by a fault in a low-voltage underground electricity cable.
Engineers from United Utilities worked to track down the fault, dig up the cable and carry out repairs yesterday afternoon.
