SPORTING stars at North Chadderton School got into the 2012 Olympics spirit with a day-long sports extravaganza.
In celebration of National Olympic Day pupils took part in activities including archery, laser tag and lacrosse as well as the more traditional sporting events including track races and javelin.
The youngsters were also put through their paces by the Army in a series of challenges.
PE teacher, Karen Smith, says it gave the chance for the students to share the Olympic values of friendship, respect, excellence and determination.
