Textile artists who met 10 years ago at university are collaborating with an exhibition in Uppermill to mark a decade of friendship.
Nancy Crilley and Anne Pennington met on the embroidery degree course at Manchester Metropolitan University, after both discovering their passion for art when retiring.
Ten years on and the artistic duo are displaying some of their work at Saddleworth Museum and Gallery in Uppermill — with some unusual influences.
Nancy said: “My two young grandsons, Elliot and Seth, inspire a lot of my work, and some of the pieces are based on their drawings They’ve even named some of the paintings so they have a certain charm to them.”
The exhibition is called “Two of a Kind” and runs until July 23.
