VILLAGERS in Uppermill will soon be visiting a new NHS dentist after plans for a clinic were passed by Oldham Council.
The two-dentist practice, planned for the corner of High Street and Bridge Street, will be able to see 3,000-4,000 patients.
Shauna Dixon, of NHS Oldham, said: “I’m delighted that we have been able to work with local dentists to open a new practice in Saddleworth.
“We are working hard to make sure that people right across the borough can access high-quality dental services when and where they need them.”
Local dentist Arshid Hussain, who will run the practice, says he is looking forward to providing a first-class service for locals.
