DR Kershaw’s Hospice came alive with the sound of music as visitors enjoyed a summer garden party.

Actor John Henshaw, who can currently be seen in TV adverts for the Post Office, was the special guest after agreeing to become a patron of the Royton hospice.

The Tantara Taiko Drummers ensured all guests had a rousing welcome — and hospice mascot Alex the Meerkat made an appearance in a mini-bus!
