VAN park . . . caravans on land between Higginshaw Lane and Higginshaw Road
A SMALL band of Travellers has set up camp on land between Higginshaw Lane and Higginshaw Road.
A total of six caravans plus vans and cars parked up on the patch of open land.
Councillor Rod Blyth, Cabinet member for community safety and public protection, said: “We were informed yesterday that Travellers were on the site and an officer visited them as soon as possible.
“The Travellers have been informed they have until 5pm today to leave the site.”
