MISSING you already . . . Elizabeth Moore with some of the pupils at Corpus Christi
THIS week sees the end of an era at Corpus Christi School in Chadderton when its well-liked administrator takes her final bow.
Elizabeth Moore is heading for retirement, but vowed it would not be the last pupils and teachers see of her.
For 27 years, Mrs Moore has ensured the smooth running of the reception area, handling queries from parents, placing orders, keeping stock up to date and typing letters to name but a few of her daily duties.
But now, at 61, she is ready to hand over the reins and take it easy at her home in Royton.
“I am very much looking forward to retirement, but I will miss lots about the school — the children, staff and parents,” she said.
“It’s been a home from home and I have loved every minute. It’s a lovely atmosphere to work in.”
