THE new president of the Rotary Club of Crompton and Royton is seeking to expand the club’s membership.
Derek Cottrell has now taken over the role from Peter Lomas, who has enjoyed a successful year.
The new president said: “In the last 12 months, Peter Lomas has been very positive and proactive in leading the club. It will be a very hard task to follow him.
“I look upon it as a challenge and hope we can continue with the tasks we do well but also to expand them.
Worthwhile
“We hope to make an even greater contribution to the local community. It is important to the future of the club that we continue to expand our membership and we are always looking for new people.
“Rotary is about making a worthwhile contribution to the local and international community, yet having fun while doing it.
“Anyone interested in what we do may contact us at 01706 846446.”
