Biker seriously injured

A 48-YEAR-OLD man suffered serious head injuries when he lost control of his motorbike in Diggle.
Police were called to Huddersfield Road at 6pm on Sunday following reports a motorcyclist had been thrown from his bike, a Yamaha R1, after losing control on a bend.
The man was taken to the Royal Oldham Hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.
Witnesses or anyone who saw the motorcyclist prior to the incident are asked to call the Road Policing Unit in Chadderton on 0161-856 8473.
