Voicing our appeal
Date published: 29 July 2010
An evening of glitz and glamour raised more than £6,500 for the NSPCC.
Over 150 guests enjoyed the annual Saddleworth Summer Ball, organised by the Oldham special events committee, held at the White Hart Hotel, Lydgate. The evening included a champagne reception, meal and auction. Money raised will help support the NSPCC’s Child’s Voice Appeal.
The appeal raises awareness of the charity’s vital helpline services — ChildLine, the UK’s free, confidential 24-hour helpline for children and the NSPCC Helpline for adults concerned about a child.
Deborah Sefton, NSPCC fund-raising manager, has more ideas for fund-raising and can be contacted on 07967-623 797. Alternatively, email deborah. sefton@nspcc.org.uk .
