They say travel broadens the mind and globe-trotting meerkat Alex had his eyes opened when he visited the Belgian capital Brussels.
GLOBE-TROTTING Alex the meerkat is making sure he is fit for travel by training at Angels Gym in Royton.
Size is not an issue for the cuddly character as he takes to the stepper machine, as seen in this picture taken by Chronicle reader Mrs A Lord, from Shaw, in a bid to get ready for his next roving assignment.
