On song with choir

Alex the meerkat may have been trotting the globe and seeking out exotic hotspots but it seems home is where the heart is for the much-loved critter.
Heading back to the borough for a one-off performance with the Saddleworth Singers, jet-setting Alex lapped up the attention from the golden girls in the choir.
It was onwards and upwards for the Dr Kershaw mascot as he performed at the group’s Summer concert in Uppermill, before dashing for a flight to his next mystery holiday destination.
ALEX stopped to admire this shiny red truck when he found himself at the Leyland Festival in Lancashire.
He made the journey with his one-year-old owner Maxx Baguley (pictured), of Royton. The pictures were snapped by the toddler’s grandmother.
