Two hurt in park attack

TWO teenagers were assaulted by a gang of men in in Alexandra Park.
The 16-year-olds were walking through the park at 6pm on Sunday when a five-strong gang approached them.
One of the boys was kicked to the ground and then kicked in the face. The other boy was punched in the face.
Police said the only description of the men was that they were Asian but they are not treating it as a racist incident. Inquiries are continuing and witnesses are asked to ring 0161-856 9077 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800-555 111.
