Relive your days at the Tec
Date published: 12 August 2010
FORMER pupils from Hathershaw Technical High are invited to relive their school days at a reunion party.
The school was open from 1955 to 1966 and the party, which will take place at St Anne’s Rugby Club, Higginshaw Lane on October 9, is for anyone who attended.
All members of the Technique pop/soul group, which was formed at the school in 1963 and played until 1977, have dusted off their instruments and are currently rehearsing for the Reunion Party between Canada, the Canaries and the UK.
It is hoped that staff and students who attended the school between 1955 and 1966 will give their support and bring along their partners and renew former friendships from the 50’s and 60’s to help make it a night to remember.
A donation of £10 per head is required to cover a wine reception and buffet supper and proceeds from the event will be donated to Dr Kershaw’s Hospice.
The organisers have contacted people through the internet and by word of mouth and so far 60 former pupils have declared their interest.
Places can be booked by calling John Watts on 0161-620 3577 or 07976765716 or Chris Taylor on 01457 872387.
This year’s event follows a very successful 2009 reunion for the class of 1959. Visit www.keithroyales.net for more information.
