Four face court over £1.5m cannabis haul

FOUR men are due before Oldham magistrates next week on charges relating to the seizure of more than 3,300 cannabis plants worth £1.5 million — one of the highest-value hauls in Oldham.
Police discovered the cannabis farm in April when they raided a house in Rochdale Road, Royton.
More plants were found at a house on Windermere Road, Middleton.
Stephen Cotton (42) of Penryn Avenue, Royton, was charged with producing and possessing cannabis, abstracting electricity, and more counts of possessing cannabis and cocaine.
John Paul Bilal (47), of Windermere Road, Middleton, was charged with production and possession of cannabis, abstracting electricity and more counts of cannabis possesion.
Paula Carroll (44) of Tandle Hill Terrace, Rochdale and Michael Ian Green (38) of Pwllheli were charged with cannabis production and possession and electrictiy abstraction.
They are all due to appear before Oldham magistrates on Thursday.
