DIGGING for victory . . . the eye-catching creation in Royton
Canadians love Royton floral displays
DAZZLING floral displays entered into this year’s North-West in Bloom competition have been given a glowing seal of approval by visitors from Canada.
Staff were delighted, and intrigued, when a note was posted to Royton Town Hall last week praising the show of colour.
The hand-written letter is signed by three friends — Deirdre Wild, Theresa Pantlow and Patricia Flores — who have been holidaying in the UK.
It states: “We have spent the past two weeks visiting Royton and feel that we must compliment the town council on the beautiful floral displays around the town.
“Congratulations to the designers and all those who keep them in such wonderful condition. We are visiting from Canada and have enjoyed our stay in your town!”
