Picture perfect . . . (from left) Saddleworth artists Margaret Hinchliffe, Joyce Parfitt, Christine Sheard and David Edwards launch their latest exhibition
With a splash of colour and a dash of drama, the Saddleworth Group of Artists is taking over the gallery in Uppermill.
With atmospheric oil paintings of sweeping landscapes and stunningly lifelike and bright portraits, the new exhibition promises to be one not to be missed for art enthusiasts across the borough. Four of the group’s artists are displaying work as part of the summer take-over of the Saddleworth Museum and Gallery in Uppermill.
Budding artist, Joyce Parfitt, said: “For me, painting landscapes really re-inforces the feelings I had about a place at the time. It is a really uplifting exhibition with lots of vivid colours and we have all put our very best work into it for people to enjoy.”
Catch the exhibition free until September 12.
