What a song and dance
Date published: 24 August 2010
A chorus of young voices has persuaded Oldham Council to set up a “Glee”- style song and dance workshop.
The class, based on the hit Channel 4 teen comedy show, will be held at the Lyceum in Union Street tomorrow from 10am to 3pm.
It will be a day of singing and dancing and costs £1, for 11 to 18-year-olds. Places are limited and have to be booked.
The morning will be spent organising harmonies and singing parts. In the afternoon, a production will be staged, adding choreography and acting parts.
The finale will be a rendition of the Journey song “Don’t Stop Believing” for parents and staff.
To book a place, contact Laura Mulholland at Oldham Council’s Integrated Youth Service on 0161-770 4054.
