SUPPORTING our soldiers . . . Sarah Longbottom
Model Sarah plans a ‘Night to Remember’ for our troops
A GLAMOUR model from Oldham is giving our soldiers a homecoming to remember.
Sarah Longbottom (22) is proud to have become an ambassador for the charity Support Our Soldiers (SOS) and has helped organise a night of luxury for local troops just back from Afghanistan.
The special event takes place at Manchester’s Prohibition Bar, in St Mary’s Street, tomorrow from 7.30pm, when soldiers will be escorted by models along a red carpet for a black-tie charity bash featuring live bands, DJs and a charity auction with star prizes from Manchester United.
Called “A Night to Remember” it also features canapes and a champagne reception in honour of the troops.
All the proceeds will go to the charity, set up for members of the Armed Forces and their families and to get servicemen better equipment and send them shoeboxes of essentials and goodies.
Sarah has organised the event with Carol Anders King from SOS and Andy Fenlan from Prohibition Bar and has a host of companies sponsoring it.
The Failsworth stunner, a Playboy and Page 3 model, said: “The main purpose of the event is to welcome our boys home. I have also managed to get together 10 models to help me cheer the boys up.
“It will be a night of luxury for the boys as they will be brought to event with the models to the red carpet to be greeted by families and supporters.
“We have around 25 front-line heroes along with published models who will be signing posters and it will be a night to remember.”
Sarah has previously raised over £60,000 for various charities with stunts and events and has been praised by charity chiefs for her efforts.
