UP for the cup . . . the Hey with Zion pupils have been in training for their Wembley appearance on Saturday
WHILE a place in the Carnegie Challenge Cup final is was a dream too far this season for the promotion-chasing Roughyeds, a group of talented youngsters will at least make sure Oldham is well-represented in the Wembley showpiece on Saturday.
Pupils from Hey with Zion Primary in Lees have been selected to perform a pre-match dance routine as Leeds Rhinos prepare to tackle Warrington Wolves in the rugby league showdown.
The children’s big moment will come as the teams enter the hallowed turf around 10 minutes prior to the 2.30pm kick-off.
The school was selected from hundreds of applicants across the country. Pupils will join children from a school in Somerset for the big day.
