GCSE:
NORTH Chadderton School pupils were stunned as they opened their brown envelopes to reveal outstanding GCSE results.
Hardworking Kayleigh Murray (16) made her parents proud with 10 A* grades, including biology, chemistry and physics.
Michael Stanley (16) was over the moon with his results after chalking up 4 A*, 4 As and 3Bs — and a B in AS level French.
He said: “I tried my best but I didn’t want to think it had gone too well. I was thrilled when I found out.
“My grandparents, who live in France, tried to talk to me in the language and it helped me take my GCSE two years ago.
“It’s also down to my dedicated teacher, Miss Pierre, who was fantastic.”
Fellow high achiever Jack Schofield (16) received 1A*, 9As and one C grade, with his sights set on being a journalist due to his “way with words”.
Twins Stephanie and Thomas Limmack were also thrilled with their fantastic results.
