A STUNNING gum model by one of the UK’s leading mosaic artists is making a jaw-dropping impact with youngsters at Gallery Oldham.
Ed Chapman’s mosaic — made from hundreds of coloured chewing gum pellets — is now taking pride of place in the children’s library.
The compelling new image is designed to make local people think about the problems associated with chewing gum litter in a different way.
Its arrival is just the latest in a four-week promotion — run by Oldham Council in association with the Chewing Gum Action Group (CGAG) — which targets gum chewers in locations where they are most likely to drop litter.
