A TALENTED student will cross the Atlantic after landing a dream job with an international American fashion company.
Jenni Madden, of High Crompton, will be working for Ohio-based Abercrombie and Fitch after graduating from Northumbria University. The fashion house is famous for its American Ivy League look and smart-casual clothes for young adults.
Jenni is packing her bags to move to Columbus, Ohio, at the end of the month.
The excited 22-year-old said: “I have always wanted to do graphic design with a twist, including fashion, so this is my dream job.”
Jenni, from Norwood Close, took A-levels at Crompton House School, before studying at Manchester Metropolitan University and Northumbria.
“Abercrombie and Fitch held interviews at university and we had to do a massive project based on one of their brands,” Jenni explained.
She was selected to fly all-expenses-paid to Ohio for four days of assessments and interviews, then given a permanent contract as an assistant graphic designer.
She will be working on the spring lines for 2011, and by February will be designing for Christmas, 2011.
