Holiday teen dies in Crete accident

TRIBUTES have been paid to an Oldham teenager who died while on holiday in Crete.
Adam Webb lost his life on August 23 following an accident on the Greek holiday island.
The 16-year-old was a former pupil of Our Lady’s RC High School, Royton, and was a student at the Pupil Referral Unit in Watersheddings.
Lynda Thompson, headteacher at PRU, said: “Everyone here at the school was saddened by this tragic news.
“Adam was a friendly, likeable young man and our thoughts are with his family and friends at this sad time.”
A tribute page with 160 members has been set up on social networking site Facebook entitled RIP Adam Webb.
His heartbroken family have paid tribute to their deeply loved son, loving uncle and adored grandson. A requiem mass will be held tomorrow at SS Aidan and Oswald RC Church, Royton, at 12.30pm prior to interment at Royton Cemetery. An inquest into Adam’s death was opened and adjourned on Friday.
