A BUMPER crop of vibrant vegetables and beautiful blooms were on show at the Fernhurst Allotments annual show.
Green-fingered gardeners from the Chadderton allotments produced a harvest-time haul of giant pumpkins, tasty runner beans and stunning floral displays.
A total of 37 members grew more than 400 exhibits for the show, which is in its 47th year.
Winning the vegetable section was treasurer Tony Ireson, with Jim Dyson named runner-up.
The flower section and homemade section was won by Ruth Gregory, with Jim Dyson and Tony Greenhalgh joint runners-up in the flower section and Janice Aston runner-up in the homemade section.
Mayor of Oldham Councillor David Jones presented the winning trophies, while tables of tasty produce were auctioned off to raise charity cash and funds for the allotments.
Show secretary Tony Greenhalgh said: “The runner beans and French beans did really well this year as they got the water they needed.
“However, the potatoes suffered because of the dry spell in June.
“It was a great show this year and the auction on Sunday proved very popular.”
