£150,000 high-tech library powers up

STUDENTS at University Campus Oldham (UCO) now have a new £150,000 library and computing centre.
Equipped with almost 200 new PCs and Macs and specialist software, it will be used by more than 1,500 students.
A delighted Debbie Bridge, head of UCO, said: “Over the past five years, the number of students has risen to over 1,500, and we ensure our technology and facilities grow to match our students.”
The library was designed around suggestions from students and is made up of different learning zones, from silent study to meeting facilities, presentation rooms and video conferencing.
