Man charged with rape

A 30-YEAR-OLD man was remanded in custody when he appeared before Oldham magistrates yesterday in connection with the rape of a teenage girl in Chadderton.
Mohammed Alim, of no fixed abode, has been charged with rape, sexual assault by penetration and theft.
The 15-year-old girl was in Victoria Street walking home at 9.40pm on September 18 when a man who had been walking behind her pulled her into an alleyway behind houses and she was raped.
