FROM us to you . . . Oldhamer Abdul Momin (left) and Oliver Lunt, from Altrincham, present George Osborne with their Action Agenda
OLDHAM teenager Abdul Momin delivered the views of 12,000 young people to Chancellor George Osborne.
The 15-year-old was one of a group of North-West young people who presented an “Action Agenda for the North-West” to Mr Osborne at Rudheath Youth Centre in Cheshire.
The agenda calls for more positive images of teenagers and challenges the Government to support young people in achieving their ambitions to build a better future.
The meeting with the Chancellor was part of the Young Citizens’ Action Agenda project, run by the Institute for Citizenship and partner organisations, which aims to develop life skills and to help young people understand and discuss key issues in politics and economics.
Abdul said: “I hope the Government listens to our ideas and that they will make the North-West a better place for young people to have their say.”
