Drugs swoop on house

CLASS A drugs worth £2,000 were seized during a raid on a house in Coldhurst.
Police arrested eight people for drugs offences following their visit to a flat at Florian House in Henshaw Street on Monday.
Sgt. Rob Howarth said: “Residents across Oldham West have told us that drug dealing and drug-related activity is a main concern in their neighbourhood, and we have been working hard to tackle this and take drugs off our streets.
“This result is another success for the team and shows that we will act on information the public give us. I hope this also sends a clear warning to criminals that they are not wanted in Oldham and we will do all we can to bring them to justice and make our streets safer.”
Those arrested have been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
