DETECTIVES are trying to piece together the last movements of a man found dead in Oldham.
The body of Scott McGill Gallacher was found in Daisy Nook Country Park at 1pm on Saturday.
Scott had been reported missing from an address in Palatine Road, Didsbury, at 10am on September 20.
His family live in Glossop and he previously lived at an address in Manchester Road, Ashton.
There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.
He is described as white, 5ft 11in tall, of stocky build with short brown hair and a piercing to his left eyebrow.
When he went missing he was wearing a black and white checked jacket and camouflage trousers. He was found wearing dark blue jeans, a blue Greece away football shirt (2008/2009) and a Rockport pullover jacket.
He was riding a black mountain bike that had two Apple logo stickers on the front mudguard.
Detective Constable Simon Hurdley, of Oldham CID, said: “We have no idea where Scott was from the time he was last seen to when his body was found.
“I need to speak to anyone who helped him, saw him or knows where he may have visited.
“While we do not believe there are any suspicious circumstances surrounding his death, it is important we get as full a picture as possible of his movements and actions before his death.
“Perhaps you recognise the description of the bike or saw him cycling through Daisy Nook. If so please call me. Any information, no matter how insignificant you think it might be, could be important.”
Anyone with information is asked to call Oldham CID on 0161 856 8951, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
