COUNCIL officer John Fay and street-art project assistant Stacey Dyson spruce up Chadderton precinct with a chalk drawing to spread the message
OLDHAM Council has gone creative in Chadderton to tackle the borough’s dog-mess dilemma.
The dog-fouling campaign logo now features in a piece of eye-catching street art in the town’s precinct.
Street Scene workers were on hand with leaflets, posters and the colourful chalk designs to spread the message of being a responsible dog owner and listen to local concerns. As a result, a list of problem areas is being drawn up which will be targeted by future dog-fouling patrols.
Councillor Rod Blyth, cabinet member for community safety and public protection, said: “Our message is simple: Be a responsible dog owner and pick up your pet’s waste. You can bin your dog’s mess in any general litter bin.”
