Monty the meerkat
Date published: 15 October 2010
ALEX the meerkat is celebrating his long-earned rest back at Dr Kershaw’s Hospice by entertaining his great-great-uncle Montgomery.
The military meerkat, straight from the deserts of South Africa, has brought replicas of himself to go alongside the Alex’s sold by the hospice throughout the summer.
Monty is now on sale at the hospice, and at its shops across the borough, for £7.99.
Appeals co-ordinator Brian Hurst is urging hospice supporters to get a Monty to keep their Alex company.
Reserve one through the appeals office on 0161-624 9984.
