THESE dedicated teenagers have given up part of their half-term break — for a working holiday.
Nearly 230 Year 11 pupils at Waterhead Academy have been attending extra English and maths lessons this week.
They will then sit their GCSEs next month, around six months early, and receive their results in January.
Classes have been held at the academy’s two campuses — Roxbury and Moorside. A total of 145 pupils have attended English lessons and 83 have been studying maths.
They include Jack White (16) who said: “The atmosphere has been amazing. We’ve got through so much work and I feel really prepared.”
