Iceland store set to open

FROZEN food store Iceland is set to bring 31 jobs to Oldham town centre when it opens a new outlet in the former Woolworths store.
Doors will be officially opened on the High Street store by Oldham Mayor, Councillor David Jones, at 9am on Thursday, November 18 — the 40th anniversary of the very first Iceland store being opened.
Iceland used to have a town centre outlet, before it moved into part of the former Littlewoods store in Market Place — now Primark.
There is also an Iceland store in Market Street, Shaw.
Area manager Steve Pennington said: “We are delighted.
“Our range of frozen, fresh and grocery will add greatly to the shopping choice in Oldham.
“We will also be providing free home delivery for customers who spend over £25.”
Woolworths closed down in January, last year.
