Dave Spikey signs books for Jason Byrne and Ian Lloyd
A WHISTLE-STOP tour of the M60 saw comedian Dave Spikey sign copies of his new autobiography at Waterstones bookstore in the Spindles Town Square Shopping Centre yesterday.
The Farnworth-born funnyman, who shot to fame as Jerry St Clair in the hit series “Phoenix Nights”, took part in eight book signings across Greater Manchester in a day.
He stopped at eight Waterstones branches across the region, starting in Bolton at 9.30am and ending in Wigan at 5.30pm.
Oldham fans queued to pick up a signed copy of his book “Under the Microscope”, a funny memoir featuring stories from his childhood, his medical career at Bolton General Hospital and his early days in professional comedy.
