Peppa in festive switch-on
Date published: 16 November 2010
CHILDREN’S favourite Peppa Pig will switch on Oldham’s Christmas Lights on Sunday.
Peppa will join the Mayor, Councillor David Jones, in front of the old Town Hall to flick the switch at 4.20pm, signalling the start of a spectacular fireworks display. This will follow an extravaganza of song and dance inspired by Oldham’s past, present and future.
Deputy council leader Jackie Stanton said: “Oldham’s Christmas lights switch-on has a reputation for being a great evening of family entertainment and this year’s event will not disappoint.”
