Council jobs are to stay in Oldham
Date published: 18 November 2010
WE have been asked to clarify that the second phase of council services to be taken over by the Rochdale-based Unity Partnership will remain in Oldham.
A story in yesterday’s Evening Chronicle wrongly stated that jobs would be moved away from Oldham to Hafley Court, Buckley Road, Rochdale, where Unity Partnership is based.
While Oldham Council services, along with 85 posts, are being moved under the control of Unity Partnership, staff involved in the second phase will remain in Oldham.
The Unity Partnership is set to take over control of human resources, transactional finance and highways plus some customer services functions.
