Baby Violet: the verdicts

Gary Alcock was jailed for life today at Manchester Crown Court for the murder of 15-month-old Oldham girl Violet Mullen.
Her mother, Claire Flanagan, was jailed for five years after being found guilty of causing or allowing to happen the death of Violet.
She was found not guilty of murder.
