HUNDREDS of Oldhamers across the borough are coming together in a bid to raise thousands of pounds for Children In Need today.
The marathon TV spectacular kicks off tonight, but locals have already been busy organising countless events to help smash last year’s fund-raising total.
With loveable mascot Pudsey the Bear springing up at borough-wide charity efforts, this year looks as if it could just be the best yet. The Busy Ms group at Trinity Methodist Church proved they knew a thing or two about donating.
A bustling concert of music and dance complete with a home-made cake sale helped to raise £800 for the annual appeal.
The BBC charity event last year celebrated its 30th year with a record-breaking £39million total.
