FLORAL tribute... for Michaela on Hollinwood Avenue
TOUCHING tributes have been left at the scene where a 20-year-old woman died after she was hit by a car in Chadderton on Saturday.
It is believed a blue Volkswagen Golf struck the young woman, named locally as Michaela Murray, in Hollinwood Avenue at its junction with Owler Lane at 10.15am.
Michaela was rushed to hospital with head injuries but died later that evening.
Dozens of floral tributes with messages for Michaela and balloons have been placed at the scene by friends and family.
Anyone with information should call the road policing unit at Chadderton on 0161-856 8473 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
