Cath crowned champion

AN Oldham worker has been named Champion of the Year at a national awards ceremony.
Cath Cook, who works for Voluntary Action Oldham, was crowned the National Compact Champion 2010 at Admiralty House in Whitehall, London.
The Compact is an agreement between public sector and voluntary organisations to promote better ways of working together.
Mrs Cook, who is the main contact for the Oldham Compact, won the award for her significant work for the scheme.
