“CORONATION Street” child star Tanisha Gorey will turn on Chadderton’s Christmas lights on Friday.
The Chadderton youngster, who plays Sunita and Dev’s daughter Asha Alahan, will flick the switch outside the town hall at 6.30pm.
The festive fun runs from noon to 7pm with traders and community groups setting up stall at the popular Christmas market in the shopping precinct from noon.
There will also be bands, choirs, a barbecue, children’s rides and a visit from Father Christmas.
Chadderton Town Crier Reg Lord will lead a lantern parade to the town hall at 6pm and a firework display will round off the celebrations at 6.45pm.
The programme has been organised by volunteers from the Chadderton events committee, part of the district partnership.
