Sewer plans go on show

DELPH residents can learn from Monday about plans for major sewer improvement works next year.
Homes in the village suffer from flooding from sewers during heavy rain.
United Utilities is to submit a planning application to install a new storm-water storage tank and connecting sewers on private land behind Delph Primary School.
The scheme would also involve laying bigger sewers in Denshaw Road.
The exhibition will be held at Delph Primary School, from 3.15 to 6pm, Residents will be able to meet the United Utilities project team and learn about the scheme, which could begin in the spring.
