SNOW-packed pavements are no problem for keen runner Jane Gleeson.
The 51-year-old simply adapts her footwear before completing her daily jog from Grasscroft to Oldham town centre.
Jane, who works in Mountainfeet in Union Street, adds snowchains and spikes to her trainers to give her extra grip.
She said: “I have always walked, jogged or cycled to work and I really enjoy being active so a little bit of snow is not going to stop me.
“The chains and spikes ensure I don’t slip all over the place and I can run as normal when I’m wearing them.
“I set off from home in rush hour and I often beat cars that are setting off at the same time as me as they are stuck in traffic as I am whizzing by.”
Active Jane even used to walk to her job when she worked in Manchester and lived in Chadderton.
She said: “I like to keep active and fit and I also like to think I’m doing my bit to save the planet.”
